Featured Author – Andi Ramos and “Gumshoe Girl”
Please say hello to a fantastic new author – meet Andi Ramos! Her debut novel comes out tomorrow, and I think that’s really cool…
Andi Ramos grew up in central Massachusetts where she still lives today with her family, goat, and Boston Terriers. Her love for reading grew into a passion for writing. She dabbled with pen and paper for a long time and eventually stopped pushing her amusements aside and started developing those stories into novels. One of her favorite things to do is to hop into her motorhome with her family and write while traveling down the road as Her website – they journey to various destinations.
You can follow Andi all over the interwebs…

And finally, her book on Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/Gumshoe-Girl-Andi-Ramos-ebook/dp/B07CMZVJ9Z
And what about the book?
Sheagan O’Hare got more than she bargained for when her newly inherited detective agency lands its first case; a missing person, embezzlement, and murder. Sheagan’s out to prove she can hang with the pros, despite the constant reminder of her amateur status from an annoyingly attractive FBI agent, Colin ‘Mac’ MacEvine, who’s forced himself into her life.
How does she feel when an old high school friend hopes to ignite a new romance?
Will she be able to discover if detective work and love can mingle before someone gets hurt?
(by the way, isn’t that cover fantastic? It was created by Elle Rossi at EJR Digital Arts)
Be sure to look for her book first thing tomorrow, or you can even pre-order it right now!
Finally, I’ve got a great interview with Andi…
Who is your favorite author?
I love Robert B. Parker, his Spencer series, I could read him over and over. I also love Janet Evanovich, she is so light and funny her style of writing resonated with me.
How do you describe your writing style?
My style of writing relies heavily on dialogue. I don’t put a lot of flowery prose or explicit description. I like to keep the story fast paced and light it lends well to the comedic tone of the book.
Why should we read your books?
Purely for entertainment! I tried to keep the pace and tone of my book light, one of those books that you can easily come back to- perfect for traveling or the beach!
Have any of your characters been modelled after yourself?
No, Sheagan, the main character is much more fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of person. Myself, I’m very type-A, lol. I’m all about scheduling and itineraries- but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to have fun, it just has to be scheduled fun, hahaha!
If you could exchange lives with any of your characters for a day which character would you choose and why?
Oooooh, I would love to be Mac. He is an FBI agent- how fun would that be?
What books have most influenced your life?
I have to say I would not be the romantic person I am without Jane Austen- pick any, but of course Pride and Prejudice holds the prize. She did women a service by writing Mr. Darcy (not sure it bode so well for the guys, lol).
If you could select one book that you could rewrite and add your own unique twist on, which book would that be and why?
Nicholas Sparks’, Nights in Rodanthe, I loved the story, but the ending killed me. I suppose that is the gut wrenching strong end he wanted, but I wanted my happily ever after!
Beatles or Monkees? Why?
Beatles, don’t get me wrong, I used to watch the Monkee’s TV show on re-runs when I was younger and loved it, so there is love for both. But, pitting them against one another I believe the diverse songs of Beatles win, sorry Davy Jones.
Who should play you in a film of your life?
Sandra Bullock! She’s a little older than me, but we look a little similar. I think she could do a good job portraying the essence of Andi.
