1 Who is your favorite author?

Kristin Wallace

My favorite authors are Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Kristan Higgins. Both are among the best romantic comedy authors I know. I admire any author who does humor well, and they are who I aspire to be as an author myself.

2 How do you describe your writing style?

Liwen Ho

My writing can be described as both heartfelt and humorous. I like to pack in a lot of emotions that readers can relate to into my stories, and sprinkle in laughs along the way to make reading fun.

3 Why should we read your books?

Christine Bush

I truly think that sweet romance stories are based on hope. I think the world needs this. We write admirable characters who face relatable issues, dilemmas and conflict, and in the end, they celebrate the love that makes it all worthwhile. Love and goodness can win. That’s a great message for us when life has its challenges.

4 Have any of your characters been modelled after yourself?

Jean Chelikowsky Gordon

None of my characters are specifically modeled after me, but all my heroines have parts of me. Most often they are helpers — caring, generous, people pleasing — and have some or all of these traits: self-control, intelligence, purpose, principle, and are a bit of a perfectionist.

5 If you could exchange lives with any of your characters for a day which character would you choose and why?

Beate Boeker:

I’d love to be Carlina for one day. She’s the heroine in my cozy mystery series “Temptation in Florence.” She falls in love with the investigating officer. She has a luxurious lingerie store in the historic city center of Florence, Italy (I want to see it, now that I’ve made it up in every detail!), and a zany Italian family who always come up with the funniest ideas.

6 What books have most influenced your life?

Mary Alford

As a child, I grew up reading Nancy Drew mysteries, but when I was about twelve years old, I discovered Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney and was hooked on the romantic suspense genre.
On The Night Of The Seventh Moon, in particular, struck a chord with me. I loved the way Victoria Holt weaved suspense throughout the story. The legend she added to the book. The characters. Everything came together to make an unforgettable story that I’ve read over and over again. For the longest time afterward, I wanted to move to the Black Forest.
And Phyllis Whitney’s Sea Jade made me wish that I could go back in time and sail the seas on a clipper ship. These, and all of Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney’s books planted the seed to become a writer in my head at a very young age and for that I’m will be forever grateful to these ladies.

7 If you could select one book that you could rewrite and add your own unique twist on, which book would that be and why?

Josie Riviera

I’d rewrite Gone With The Wind, but just the ending. Scarlett and Rhett really need to be together!

8 Beatles or Monkees? Why?

Milou Koenings

The Beatles, of course. They were all my mother listened to when I was in the womb, so they’ve been the soundtrack of my life since the very beginning. That, and I actually met Paul once!

9 Who should play your hero or heroine in a film of your book?

Roxanne Rustand

If I were to choose the dream actress to play my heroine, it would Jennifer Lawrence. Of course, I am dreaming, right? She’s the right age, and she plays plucky, strong women so beautifully. Holly, the heroine of Christmas in Paris, starts off as a wounded, jilted woman who decides to overcome her fears, regain her confidence and begin her new life during her honeymoon-for-one. Of course, Lawrence can nail any type of character, but it would sure be fun to see her as Holly!
