And I’ve also got a great interview with Rachel…

Who is your favorite author?

I would have to say, Janette Oak. I keep her Love Comes Softly Series on my book shelf and have read them over and over. I guess I just love the way she writes sweet love stories.

How do you describe your writing style?

My writing style is sweet and suspenseful. I enjoy creating complex characters that readers can relate to and care about like a best friend. When the plot take an unexpected turn, I want the reader to feel like they are right there, feeling the raw emotions of the character in the story.

Use no more than two sentences. Why should we read your book?

If you enjoy sweet love stories with a hint of suspense, humor and faith, you’ll love Beauty Restored.

Have any of your characters been modeled after yourself?

Not intentionally, but Carmen, the main character in Beauty Restored reminds me the most of myself. She is shy and sometimes lets fear get the best of her. However in the end she discovers that her faith is much stronger than her fear.

If you could exchange lives with any of your characters for a day which character would you choose and why?

I would exchange lives with Sarah Riley from Beauty Unveiled. I admire her strength and courage in the face of adversity. I’d also love to have the endurance to run in a marathon someday.

What books have most influenced your life?

The Bible

If you could select one book that you could rewrite and add your own unique twist on, which book would that be and why?

The Time Traveler’s Wife. I loved the idea behind the story but I would change the ending and find some way for the main character to survive at the end of the story. I like happy endings.

(James’ note – I’m with Rachel on this one.  I liked most of that book but hated the ending)

Beatles or Monkees? Why?

Both! It’s so hard to choose…. LOL

Who should play you in a film of your life?

Rachel Hendrix. We share a first name and I admire her values and acting style.
