Indie Author Spotlight – Angela Norton Tyler and “Queen Mother”

I’ve got another great indie author for you to meet this morning.  Say hello to Angela Norton Tyler!

And here’s a little more about her:

Who is your favorite author? 

My sister- Meredith Norton. She passed away a year ago, but she lives through her book, Lopsided.

How do you describe your writing style? 

What writing style? I am all over the place with genres, schedules, etc.!

Use no more than two sentences. Why should we read your book? 

You will be uplifted. Your outlook on a horrible event will be forever changed.

Have any of your characters been modeled after yourself? 

I’d like to think that I am as resilient as Nala, the Queen Mother, but I am probably just flattering myself. I am, however, VERY familiar with loving someone and not being able to reach them literally and figuratively.

If you could exchange lives with any of your characters for a day which character would you choose and why? 

I would be Brownie, the eight and three-quarter years old heroine from my latest work, Princess Brownie of Terraria: The Secret Poem. She is a princess and lives in a terrarium! Can you imagine how cool that would be?

What books have most influenced your life?

If you could select one book that you could rewrite and add your own unique twist on, which book would that be and why? 

Bastard Out of Carolina. That ending is absolutely unforgivable.

Beatles or Monkees? Why? 

Monkees. I watched the TV show after school, and they seemed so silly. I have no real recollection of the Beatles.
